Hello everyone! I'm excited to share my latest real-time environment built in Unreal Engine 5.
This project began as an opportunity to push myself further in storytelling through composition, lighting, and environment design. I wanted to capture a post-apocalyptic mood inside a once-elegant Victorian apartment—playing with atmosphere, decay, and subtle narrative cues.
To bring it to life, I created a modular kit for walls, floors, ceilings, and structural elements, along with several custom props like Chesterfield couches, a vintage radiator, and smaller furniture pieces. I paid extra attention to material blending and used RGB masking to introduce variation and surface wear. The scene was lit using Lumen, with 2 lighting scenarios prepared directly in the engine to explore different moods.
While most assets were handmade, I also integrated few Sketchfab assets, Quixel Megascans textures and props (like the wallpaper) to enhance realism and maintain a fast, efficient workflow.
Hope you enjoy it!
